Access Standards
A new set of standards were announced by the Minister of Health and Social Services in march 2019 that are aimed to raise and improve level of service for patients in Wales from their GP practices.
These standards are:
Our patients will receive a prompt response when contacting our practice via the telephone.
Our practice will have the appropriate telephony systems in place to support our patient needs, avoiding the need to call back multiple times and we will check that all calls will be handled this way.
Our patients will receive bilingual (Welsh and English) information on local and emergency services when contacting the surgery.
Patients can use a range of options to contact the surgery and to make an appointment i.e My health online, post, telephone or email.
Patients are able to email the practice to request non-urgent consultations or call back - email to the following address - Enquiries.W98608@wales.nhs.uk
Patients are able to access information on how to get help and advice.
Patients are able to receive the right care at the right time in a joined up way based on their needs and the practice understands the needs of our patients and we use this information to anticipate the demand of our services.
If you require a consultation with one of the doctor's, urgent or routine please contact the surgery on 01792 476576 or you may use the ask my GP service that is available online.

Practice Activity/Demand
As part of our ongoing work with Swansea Bay University Health Board, we have been tasked with analysing our monthly activity and making this information available to our patients.
This project is an important step in quantifying more accurately the volume and diversity of activity undertaken in Practices.
The project is expected to ensure that the Welsh NHS is better placed to access the activity undertaken and support the needs of Practices in to the future.
The data collected will expand as the project develops and systems are designed to better capture the volume of work undertaken.
Your support in this project to ensure that the future needs of primary care are met, is very much appreciated
